what is jazzercise?

If you think you know Jazzercise, think again. When it comes to dance fitness workouts, Jazzercise is the true original: the first to choreograph exercise moves to music, certify instructors, and foster a community through passion.

As pioneers of the dance fitness movement, our goal is to introduce you to a workout program that makes you feel so good, you stick to it—for life.

A group of people participate in a dance fitness class in a spacious room with wooden floors and large windows. They are energetically moving in sync, wearing athletic wear in various colors, and appear to be enjoying the workout.

Our pillars

Motivate

From the minute you walk into a Jazzercise class, you feel welcomed and inspired by the instructors, the community, and the workout itself.

Cultivate

A group of women in workout attire are gathered indoors, smiling and engaging in conversation. One woman is holding a water bottle, and tattoos are visible on some of the participants. They appear to be in a fitness or yoga class setting.

You don’t just get a good workout—you join a community that will dance alongside you through every season of life. Best friends and family are found in each Jazzercise class.

Innovate

Give back

our story

Jazzercise Founder Judi Sheppard Missett started the dance fitness revolution in 1969 before women could open a credit card in their own name. As a professional dancer, she created a unique exercise program born from the spirit of dance but responding to women's desire to find a fun and effective way to get and stay fit. Jazzercise was the FIRST boutique dance fitness program that took the 80s and 90s by storm in a male-dominated industry. Today, thousands of Jazzercise classes are taught weekly in 16 countries. You can also bring the dance party home with the digital fitness platform Jazzercise On Demand.

"I started going to Jazzercise for a fun evening away from my desk and house and found that I have more stamina, feel stronger, and lost weight. Though I exercised regularly before, I wasn't seeing results and felt run down. I look forward to Jazzercise; I'm not dragging myself to a workout."

"Jazzercise has changed my life in so many ways. As an autistic person, it has helped my balance, motor skills, and technique. Jazzercise is hard, but I love it because it is a full-body workout!"
