How much does a class cost?
Because individual instructors independently own Jazzercise classes, there is no set rate. Many instructors offer a special rate for new customers on their first purchase. Joining fees may apply.
What are the instructors' credentials?
Jazzercise instructors participate in an intensive screening process as well as training and certification program, and are CPR certified. Instructors also continue to keep abreast of the latest developments in the fitness industry.
Do new sessions begin at certain times, or can I start anytime?
Registration is ongoing on a drop-in basis. Start anytime. Classes are often a mixture of new customers and customers who have been doing Jazzercise for a long time.
Do I need special clothes or equipment?
Any workout clothing is ok. Most people wear capris or jazz pants and a workout top or T-shirt. Bring along a towel or exercise mat for the floor work. Good, rubber-soled aerobic shoes are recommended.
Do I need weights?
Weights are optional for new customers. We recommend you familiarize yourself with the basic exercises and techniques before using light (3-5 lb.) weights.
How often should I exercise?
If you are new to exercise, begin with 2-3 classes a week and gradually add classes. To increase your fitness level, work out 4-5 times per week.
Can children participate in a Jazzercise class?
You must register and sign a release form for each child who participates in class. Jazzercise also offers Junior Jazzercise for children 4 to 12 years of age. Call (800)FIT-IS-IT or email email@example.com to find a Junior Jazzercise class near you.
Is childcare available?
Some facilities provide childcare for a nominal fee for non-participating children.
Where do I store personal belongings?
Please do not store purses, clothing, towels, or other belongings where they will present a safety hazard. Jazzercise is not responsible for personal property.
Can I bring drinks and food to a class?
We recommend Jazzercise participants bring a non-breakable water bottle with a lid to class. Prevent accidents and spillage by keeping drinks out of the way. No food or gum, please.
